TASTING NOTES
Powerful and intense notes of liquorice and leather with ripe red fruits and vanilla. Powerful and well-structured with ripe, rounded tannins and hints of stewed ripe fruit. The whole wine really integrates together through a refreshing core of acidity and herbal notes.

Jose Antonio Carrasco inherited his grandfather’s pristine vineyards just outside of Burgos in Castrillo de la Vega with 30-70 year old vines in chalky-clay, brown soils over 800m in elevation.
As is fairly typical for Ribera del Duero, the wine spends a significant period in new oak barrels (14 months) with the majority (70%) being French and the remainder American oak.
