Bodegas Pirineos - 3404, Somontano (2021)
Located halfway between Barcelona and the mountain town of Roncesvalles for which our street is named!
3404 represents the height of Pico Aneto, the highest peak in the Spanish Pyrenees where the under the radar appellation Somonanto is rediscovering ancient varieties and a real verve for winemaking.
Using Moristel (a long forgotten variety local to the area) in a blend with Garnacha and Cabernet-Sauvignon, this is an intense coloured, fresh and red fruited wine along wild flowers and some chocolate. This is a lovely rustic, mountain wine that is an excellent choice for the cooling early evenings.
