Château de la Rogotiere - Muscadet, France (2020)
Broad, round and rich - quite a dense interpretation of Muscadet. Notable cheese notes from the long lees aging and a lovely lemony fruit profile. A little bit of texture is lifted by persistent acidity and a lively, fresh aftertaste.
100% Melon de Bourgogne from the Loire Valley, near the Atlantic Ocean. The vines are between 40 to 60 years old in mica schist soils.
Aged of fine lees for 10 months in underground tanks, then bottled after cold precipitation of the tartar and sterile filtration.
