TASTING NOTES
A pretty, floral wine. White almond blossom flowers, rose-hip & rosemary along with subtle orchard fruit notes of early summer Ontario peaches and apricots. A slightly nutty note on the back palate with a long clean finish. This wine provides a lovely tension between its subtle, but persistent flavours and crisp, but moderate acidity.

All of Damianos's wines show real delicacy and an elegant touch with a focus on fruit purity and transparent expression. Fermented and aged on the lees for 6 months in stainless steel.
Le Cerque [meaning Oak Tree] is located in Umbria on 22 hectares of parkland. Damiano Scalici used to lead the United Nations’ global response for food emergencies created by natural disasters. Following his career, he returned to his family’s roots of winemaking and purchased a bucolic retreat in the Umbrian countryside.
Vines were planted 20 years ago on a lovely mix of limestone and clay soils - with just the right blend of free draining and water retention qualities. Damiano embraces sustainable agriculture practices, creating high quality products that respect the environment.
