Quinta de Grifo - Vintage Port, Portugal (2015)
Profound nose of jammed plum, blackberry, kirsch, violet, tobacco and sweet spices. A really beautiful balance between the density of fruit and the well-integrated sweetness. The tannins are quite fine and not too aggressive making this port enjoyable now, but still with the stuffing to age for another decade or so. The palate is quite fresh along with red and dark fruit notes, tobacco and chocolate. The perfect pairing for chocolate-based desserts.
