Hand picked, spontaneously fermented, no fining, no filtration. 14 days maceration in stainless steel and wooden fermenters. 24 months expansion in used barriques and wooden fermenters. Then another 18 months in stainless steel before bottling.
Sisters, Susanne and Stefanie Renner, from Gols in the Neusiedlersee, have been attracting international attention and recognition within the natural wine community for their stunning natural wines.
Currently, they farm 13 hectares of land with a lot of care, all of which has been certified organic since 2012.
The decision to shift into making natural wines was an easy one for Susanne and Stefanie. Their parents had been already farming organically since 2009 and had forgone the use of selective yeasts since the 90s. When Stefanie and Susanne told their parents that they wanted to return home, to make their own wines in their own ways, they were welcomed with open arms and Rennersistas was born.
Whilst still keeping it 'all in the family' the team at Rennersistas has evolved over the past several years with brother George joining the team and Susanne taking leave to focus on her family.
