Sierra de Toloño - La Dula - Garnacha, Rioja, Spain (2021)

 TASTING NOTES

"The nuanced and elegant 2019 La Dula comes from a plot of Garnacha planted in 1944 at 700 meters in altitude in the village of Ribas de Tereso. The idea here is to show a pure Garnacha without any makeup, fermented and matured in amphorae, and the wine comes through as very pure, varietal and complex, really attractive and with a velvety palate with round and very fine tannins, great balance and purity. There is a sense of harmony here that I like very much. There is ripeness and depth of flavours. Lovely. Unfortunately, only 633 bottles were produced and filled in August 2019, after close to one year in amphorae".
