TASTING NOTES
Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is amongst the deepest, red-coloured styles of rosé. A wine of strawberries, rose petals and salinity. Very fresh...lots of perfumed and savoury minerality on the palate. Citrus fruits, ripe strawberry and wild flowers, with the impression of rocks and chalk on the palate.

100% massal selection Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes grown on south-facing limestone soils, from 60+ year old vineyards at 380m elevation. The fermentation started with a cold maceration and no pressing of the skins in stainless steel and no malolactic conversion to preserve freshness and acidity.
Near the medieval hillside town of Cugnoli, Tiberio was founded in 2000 by Riccardo Tiberio and since 2008 is run by his daughter Cristiana (the winemaker) and son Antonio (the viticulturist).
The rolling Abruzzo hills, which slope down from the Apennines toward the Adriatic Sea are characterised by mild sea breezes and cool air currents coming in from the mountainous massif of the Majella.
Gambero Rosso has bestowed at least Due Bicchieri on all of their wines each vintage.
