TASTING NOTES

Classic Weinvertel aromas of white pepper but on the palate, there is a lot more flesh and texture than expected. Ripe melon and cantaloupe with as stony edge and slight salinity.

Based in Röschitz, northwest Weinviertel, Gschweicher farms six different Grüner Veltliner varieties on primary rock and loess soil. The oldest vines are 83 years old. In 2008 the vinery was certified as a Weinviertel PLUS model company. This certification calls for top-quality production, processing and marketing and is the first quality management system for winegrowers in Austria.
