Fruit from 4 parcels-two on gravel soils, two on sandstone soils. The average vine age is 35 years. A blend of Aligoté Dorée & Aligoté Vert. Fermentation in stainless steel, maturation in old French oak.
Brothers Pablo & Vincent Chevrot both manage Domaine Chevrot, where their wine-growing history began back in 1798. The Chevrot family’s long history in Maranges played a key role in the area. They were granted AOC status in 1988. Vineyard holdings total 18.5ha and are farmed organically and employ biodynamic practices. With the help of a horse, they seek to be faithful to their terroir.
Cellar practices are mainly hands-off with additions avoided and have very minimal use of sulphur. Fruit is generally all destemmed, but will use whole clusters in top cuvées.
