Fernando de Castilla - Palo Cortado Anitque, Jerez

Palo Cortado is an exciting, bone dry and ethereal style combining both the yeasty, bruised apple notes from biologically-aged and the walnuts, mahogany and rancio notes of extremely long oxidatively-aged sherries. This fantastic sherry has an exceptionally long finish.   

With an average age of 30 years, this oxidative sherry qualifies as a VORS (Vinum Optimum Rare Signature, or Very Old and Rare Sherry) but the bodega does label it as such. The Antique range of sherries are the flagship wines of the bodega.
