TASTING NOTES

This is an absolute belter of a wine. Vibrant and humming, with a tense balance between zingy Meyer lemon citrus notes and slightly bruised orchard fruit. It has the flint, matchstick, chalk and precise acidity you would expect of Chablis, but with added volume and texture.

A reference point for classic Chablis, since the beginning, Jean-Marc Brocard has been committed to its environment. In 1997, a plot of 11 hectares of Chablis became amongst the first in Chablis to convert to organic and now 60 hectares are certified organic with a further 40 hectares farmed  biodynamically.

Boissonneuse is a single holding of 11 hectares and the first parcel that son and now CEO, Julien began farming following biodynamic agriculture back in 1998. The parcel is on a hillside beside the village of Préhy and contains kimmeridgian soil of exceptionally high quality, with very fine minerals. The 30 year-old vines grow on interspersed layers of limestone and clay, brimming with fossils.
