Carved out of vineyards from the original plots of the legendary Biondi Santi (La Chiuse's owners were gifted the land having worked it for generations), this is premium, under the radar Brunello.
Grapes are specifically grown selected with Rosso in mind - these are not declassified Brunello grapes. As a result, full care, attention and prestige is devoted to these wines elevating them well beyond the norm.
The estate is carved out with 60-70 yr. old vines w/the Rosso vines facing west, which results in softer tannins & a more approachable wine. The east facing vines are dedicated to the Riserva, and the Brunello itself sits in the middle of the vineyard. Hand-harvested; the grapes are crushed & transferred to tank by gravity.
Bottled in early spring then aged 3-4 months in Allier & Slavonian botte.
