Loïc Mahé - Le Petit Moulin - Chenin Blanc, Vin de France (2019)

Under the radar producer in the premium Loire Valley appellation of Savennières - this powerful Chenin overdelivers. While the grapes for this wine are sourced from outside of the Savennières itself, it has the taste but not the price tag of its illustrious homebase. Classic wet wool, peaches and slightly bruised apples with a taut acidity providing tension to the broad mouthfeel.  

Loïc draws a lot of inspiration (and mentorship) from infamous biodynamic producer Nicolas Joly...this is a must buy.
