Under the radar producer in the premium Loire Valley appellation of Savennières - this powerful Chenin overdelivers. While the grapes for this wine are sourced from outside of the Savennières itself, it has the taste but not the price tag of its illustrious homebase.
Loïc draws a lot of inspiration (and mentorship) from infamous biodynamic producer Nicolas Joly...this is a must buy.
From a 0,7ha (1,73 acres) south facing plot with 50-100m elevation & schists soils. Vinification: slow pneumatic press, indigenous yeast, fermentation 30 days in fiberglass tank, malolactic conversion and 12 months aging in fiberglass tank on lees with light strirring.
