TASTING NOTES

One of the world's legendary wines - one of the best expressions of Cab Franc. Bordeaux-esque. Delicate Very perfumed with red and dark cherry, persimmon, mandarin orange, roses and honeysuckle, gravel, wet forest leaves and minerals. Precise definition, svelte, and energetic - highly complex!

One of the most famous Chinon lieu-dit. Some vines up to 50 years old & all harvested by hand. The fruit is destemmed w/ the berries left whole; they are fermented w/indigenous yeasts in tank, maceration of 25-30 days. The wine is aged for 1-2 years in 30-hectolitre oak & chestnut foudres. Aged in bottle for several years before release.
