TASTING NOTES
Light and dark fresh ripe berried fruits, cured meats and lifted spice on the nose sets you up for a mouthful of savoury and gamey flavours in the mouth. No oak and released young to showcase a juicy, bold/fresh fruited and spicy youthful wine.

Grenache (60%) and Mataro (30%) from 100 year old vines at Ebenezer in the north-west of Barossa with a splash of Shiraz from 20 year old vineyards at Gomersal on the western ridge.
All components are fermented in open fermenters, where the presence of whole berries is encouraged. Pumped over twice daily, flavours colours and tannins are gently extracted from the grapes until pressing off skins after 7 days. Bottled early, without oak maturation, to showcase the bright fruit elements and lifted spice characters.
Teusner Wines was established in 2001 by Kym Teusner and Mick Page and Teusner released its first set of wine with 162 cases of the Joshua wine range in 2002.
Teusner gives a lot of importance is given to the term, commitment. They believe in strong, interpersonal relationships with their winegrower partners and pay them higher than the norm prices to cultivate fruits of the highest quality.
